Product status: In development — not yet generally available. This document describes how the product is designed to work and the commitments ORVEXIA makes for it. It will be updated before launch if the final product differs.

1. When recording or transcription happens

Recording, live captions and transcription start only when a participant turns them on. Every participant sees a visible indicator while they are active, and new participants are notified when they join.

2. Consent

The person who starts recording or transcription is responsible for obtaining the consent required by law. Texas allows recording with the consent of one party, but California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington and other jurisdictions require the consent of all parties. When in doubt, ask everyone and record only if all agree.

3. Where recordings are stored

Recordings, transcripts and notes are stored on the device of the participant who created them, unless the Product clearly offers cloud storage. That participant controls sharing and deletion.

4. Prohibited

Do not record people secretly, record where people expect privacy, or use recordings to harass or for unlawful purposes.
